Saint Bernard Domain Northside - Austin Texas Store Grand Opening
10 years after opening our first Austin store in the 2nd Street District, Saint Bernard grows with Austin as an anchor store in the Domain NORTHSIDE development. At more than 12,000 square feet, Austin ski and snowboard lovers now enjoy a spacious hard good department, full service ski and snowboard shop and boot fitting area. All of our friendly Austin patrons enjoy settling in at the store lounge with complimentary espresso and draft beer.

Saint Bernard Houston - River Oaks District Store Grand Opening
Helping families enjoy adventure and the outdoors in the most stylish way possible has been the intent of our company from the start, with the new name Saint Bernard widening the scope of what that entails today with full swim, sportswear and footwear selections. The new Austin and Houston locations follow the flagship store in Dallas by offering a full range of ski as well as designer sportswear, swimwear and accessories.

In our second generation of family ownership, with much thought and excitement, we’re prouder than ever to introduce our new name and website domain, SaintBernard.com.

New website functionality, generous shipping policies and additional customer service agents are added to meet the demands of the quickly growing sector of the business. The outlet store is moved to a location in The Shops at Park Lane, 1,000 feet from the original St. Bernard Sports. The entire area has been redeveloped for easy luxury outlet shopping. The store is successful from its first week in business.
The new stbernardsports.com is launched.
All products that are in the stores are now being added to the website. We focus on trying to bring the online experience up to the level of our in-store experience.
THE INWOOD STORE IS EXPANDED BY 7,000 SQUARE FEET BRINGING THE SIZE OF THE STORE TO 22,000 SQUARE FEET.
The additional space is dedicated to men’s apparel, now its own bustling department of the store.
St Bernard Sports Austin is opened in March in the 2nd street District downtown next to the highly anticipated W hotel.
St Bernard Sports is awarded the regional “Retailer of the Year” by Ski Industries of America for the first of four total times.
The office, warehouse operations and outlet store are move to a 20,000 square foot building three miles from the Inwood Village store.
Company sales continue to grow and pass $3,000,000 for the first time. The Inwood Village store is expanded by 3,000 square feet to include a new women’s department.

SBS is back in the business of selling nationally! Orders are filled from all stores and the warehouse. Saint Bernard begins selling Vineyard Vines, which will grow into more than a million dollars in annual sales.
DURING THE SUMMER, REEF FLIP FLOPS ARE INTRODUCED AS SBS FIRST SIGNIFICANT COUNTER SEASONAL MERCHANDISE.
Thus begins the steady growth of sportswear and shoes year-round. Leading outdoor brands such as Patagonia and The North Face are joined by surf outfitters and other established lifestyle brands. The hurdle of how to connect with customers in the summer months is solved. As a result, the company hires its full-time buyers.
SAINT BERNARD’ FIRST OFFICE WAREHOUSE (6,000 SQ. FT.) IS OPENED 1.5 MILES FROM THE INWOOD STORE.
This frees up more retail footage and backstock areas in our stores for an optimal shopping experience. The building also houses the first outlet store. The first of many company ski trips takes place. Employees can better relate to snow sports, making relating to the customer and their needs more easily. Saint Bernard establishes a very generous 401K program to match its generous medical benefits plan.

AFTER A SUCCESSFUL EFFORT IN THE CATALOG BUSINESS, THE DREAM OF SELLING NATIONALLY IS PUT ON HOLD FOR 21 YEARS.
Efforts are focused back on the brick and mortar business with happy results. Two other Saint Bernard stores are opened and closed while the Greenville Avenue location is being outgrown by the business.

SAINT BERNARD MOVES TO IT’S NEW 7,000 SQUARE FOOT DALLAS LOCATION ON GREENVILLE AVENUE AND PARK LANE.
The new size quickly establishes Saint Bernard as the “go-to” destination for skiwear and equipment in Dallas. This also marks the beginning of the Saint Bernard mail order catalog, eventually mailing to 400,000 people.
ANNE AND WES GOYER SEEK OUT TO CREATE A CITY STORE THAT SELLS THE FINEST SKI BRANDS IN THE INDUSTRY.
Ready to offer a full service ski shop in the city that is as good as the ones that found in the worlds’ best ski resorts, they open the first shop at Dallas’ Northpark East, a shopping center near the now famous Northpark Center. The initial success of the store is built on newfound personal relationships with luxury ski brands such as Bogner, Obermeyer, Nills, and many more. The store is about 3,000 square feet and is one of 26 places to buy ski equipment in the city of Dallas. The attention to service and the customer paired with a family passion for personal style and the outdoors immediately sets Saint Bernard apart.
